Driving lasting impact in First Nations mental health
The National Wellbeing Alliance (NWA) is a dedicated team of First Nations and non-Indigenous people united by a shared passion for empowering communities and fostering lasting change.
Our history
Our Beginnings
Founded in 2019, the National Wellbeing Alliance (NWA) was established as a collaboration between two experienced First Nations training organisations. Our goal: to provide a national response to wellbeing training and Indigenous engagement initiatives across Australia.
Building a Strong Foundation
We specialise in delivering Mental Health First Aid® and workplace wellbeing programs, supported by a national network of over 80 First Nations facilitators who have been leading these programs for more than 15 years.
Major Milestone
In 2021, we launched a $20 million, four-year initiative, funded by the National Indigenous Australians Agency (NIAA), to deliver Indigenous Mental Health First Aid training across the country. This project focuses on communities and frontline workers in areas with limited access to culturally appropriate health services.

Today, NWA is a strong and focused organisation offering wellbeing training and tailored solutions for workforces, communities, government agencies, corporate entities, and not-for-profits. We are proud of our reputation for delivering exceptional training and support, ensuring every participant experiences a truly unique and impactful learning journey.
